Barklo Terms and Conditions

Article 1: Who we are

Barklo is a trading name of KDK Media, a general partnership (vennootschap onder firma) registered in the Netherlands.

Article 2: Applicability

These terms apply to every offer from Barklo and every contract concluded through barklo.uk between Barklo and you as a consumer. Before you order, you can view and save these terms. By "you" we mean the consumer: an individual acting wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft, or profession.

Article 3: Our product

Barklo's products are complementary pet food for dogs. They are intended as a supplement to the daily diet and are not a complete feed or a replacement for one. They are also not a veterinary medicine and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Product images give a truthful impression; obvious mistakes or errors in an offer do not bind Barklo.

Article 4: Order and payment

The contract is concluded once you complete your order and payment has been authorised. The order process makes clear that you are entering into an obligation to pay. Payment is made in advance and securely through our payment service provider. The available payment methods are shown during checkout. You will receive a confirmation by email.

Article 5: Prices

All prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT. Delivery is free. Price changes within an ongoing subscription are governed by Article 7.

Article 6: Delivery

We deliver in the United Kingdom. We dispatch your order promptly and deliver within 30 days at the latest, unless we agree otherwise with you. We do not guarantee an exact delivery day. If delivery within that period is not possible, you may give us a reasonable additional period; if that period also passes, you may cancel your order free of charge and we will refund the full amount. The risk of damage or loss passes to you at the time of delivery.

Article 7: Subscription

With a subscription, you automatically receive and pay for the product at the interval you choose. You can change, pause, or cancel your subscription at any time through your account, with no notice period and at no cost. A change or cancellation applies to your next delivery that has not yet been processed. If we increase the price of an ongoing subscription, we will let you know at least 30 days in advance, and you can cancel free of charge up to the effective date.

Article 8: Right to cancel

You may cancel the contract within 14 days of receiving the product, without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. You can do this using the cancellation option on our website or by email. You will receive immediate confirmation of your notice. The direct cost of the return is at your own expense.

There is one statutory exception: our tubs are sealed. If the seal has been broken, the product cannot be returned for reasons of health protection and hygiene, and the right to cancel no longer applies to that product. An unopened, still-sealed tub can be returned within the period. The full procedure is set out in our Return and Refund Policy.

Article 9: Conformity

Barklo warrants that, on delivery, the products conform to the contract and to reasonable standards of quality. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described, and your statutory rights as a consumer continue to apply in full. Because every animal is different, we do not guarantee a specific result for an individual dog. In addition to your statutory rights, we offer a voluntary satisfaction guarantee; its conditions are set out in our Return and Refund Policy.

Article 10: Responsible use

You follow the recommended dose on the packaging and do not exceed it. In the case of illness, pregnancy, lactation, concurrent use of medication or other supplements, or if in doubt, you first consult a vet. You introduce the product gradually, especially with dogs that have a sensitive digestion or known allergies. You remain responsible for choosing the product and for its suitability for your dog.

Article 11: Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Barklo's liability for each event is limited to the amount you paid for the order concerned. Barklo is not liable for loss or damage resulting from use contrary to the instructions, from exceeding the recommended dose, or from giving the product to an animal with a known condition or allergy without first consulting a vet.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law. These limitations do not apply in the case of intent or reckless conduct by Barklo, and they do not affect your mandatory statutory rights, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Article 12: Complaints

If you have a complaint, please email us at complaints@barklo.nl with a clear description. We respond within 14 days. If we are unable to resolve your complaint together, this does not affect your right to take the matter to court or to seek independent advice, for example from Citizens Advice.

Article 13: Governing law

These terms and all contracts with Barklo are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you also keep the protection of any mandatory consumer rules that apply where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom in which you live.

Article 14: Finally

Barklo may amend these terms. The version that applied at the time you placed your order always applies to that order. If any provision is invalid, the remaining provisions continue to apply in full.
